The Moon Lence Ultralight Camping Cot is perfect for backpacking adventures, canoe trips, weekend camping, or even as an extra bed when visiting friends or family. It's so sturdy and versatile that it's also used for disaster relief, military purposes, and even naps at the office.

It’s fully collapsible, is lightweight and comes with a pillowcase that can be stuffed with something soft, like a sweatshirt, so users won’t experience any trouble when packing.

Moon Lence Ultralight Camping Cot

This camping cot was designed with portability and convenience in mind. Not only is it truly "ultralight," weighing in at just 4.1 pounds, but it is also incredibly compact when taken apart and put away in its carrying bag (When packed, the entire bundle is only 14.9 inches by 6.3 inches).

The Moon Lence cot consists of sturdy sleep support made of heavy duty 420D thick polyester fabric and a collapsible frame of high-strength 7075 aluminum.

Since the sleeping area is 74.8 inches by 27.5 inches, you might wonder how it can fold up into such a small space. The frame is constructed using extremely durable, folding aluminum camping poles, which we'll explain in further detail below.

Who is This Product for?

This camping cot is ideal for almost any situation where people need to rest or sleep, but don’t have access to a bet. It sits very low to the ground, however, so those with mobility issues may find getting up and down difficult.

Other than that, we'd recommend this product for:

  1. 1
    Camping
  2. 2
    Trailhead Hotels
  3. 3
    Beaches
  4. 4
    Festivals
  5. 5
    Visiting Friends and Family

What’s Included?

All parts of the Moon Lence cot are included, as well as a drawstring bag for carrying it, and a pillowcase that can be stuffed if you don't have room to pack (or don't have) another pillow.

It does not include a sleeping pad, but we didn't find it necessary to have one since the area on which you lay is off the ground. However, we think it would combine nicely with the Moon Lence sleeping pad if you're looking for ultimate comfort!

Overview of Features

Quality Materials

This cot is designed to last. The frame consists of aircraft-grade aluminum alloy, and the sleeping surface is crafted with sturdy polyester. It can support up to 350 pounds!

Convenient Carrying Case

You'll be amazed by how small the cot is when it is collapsed and packed up! The light and compact carrying case is a convenient way to tote the cot around without feeling the burden of added weight, which is particularly useful for backpackers (14.9 x 6.3 inches, 4.1lbs).

Heavy Duty Polyester

This quality material is designed to take a beating from the elements, so you don’t have to.

74.8” L x 27.6” W

Plenty of room for almost any adult to get a great night’s sleep!

Pillow Case Included

Backpacking and camping require you to carry several things, which is why it’s essential to use items that serve a dual purpose. The cot comes with a pillowcase that you can stuff with a spare blanket or sweatshirt, so you don’t have to add more to your pack!

Money Back Guarantee

The unconditional 30-day guarantee allows you to test the cot out to see if it works well for however you plan to use it. There's also a lifetime warranty!

Setting Up Your Cot

Once you unpack your Moon Lence cot, you’ll find two long folding poles, the polyester sleeping surface, and five sets of legs/ground supports. The poles are pulled into sections to fold but are joined by a flexible nylon cord inside, so you don't have to worry about losing any necessary parts. There is one pole for each 74.8-inch side, and there are five sets of "legs.”

First, unfold the long poles and snap them together. Each leg snaps onto the longer poles and is connected to the opposite leg by a horizontal support piece which rests on the ground. Like the poles that form the upper part of the frame, the legs and supports are connected internally so that they can be folded.

Alternatives

The Marchway Ultralight Folding Camping Cot is very similar in design to the Moon Lence cot. It is approximately the same size but weighs slightly more at 4.65 pounds. If you’re not concerned about measuring every ounce, it’s a viable alternative.

The ALPS Mountaineering Ready Lite Cot has a similar form but somewhat different horizontal supports. It’s ideal for those who like the concept of the Moon Lence cot but find it too narrow for a comfortable sleep. The ALPS cot is a bit longer as well; it’s 78 inches by 28 inches, and slightly higher off the ground (7.5 inches). It weighs more and is more expensive, but if you need the space, you need the space!

We’ve mentioned that it might be difficult for those with mobility issues to use a very low ultralight folding cot. If that’s the case for you, we recommend the Moon Lence Camping Cot for Adults with adjustable height legs. If you don’t require the extra height, you can use the cot with only the supports installed, at 7.4 inches. With the feet attached, it’s about 13.4 inches high. You can boost that to almost 14 inches by adding the mud baskets, which keep the cot stable on wet ground and sand.

Conclusion

In short, we strongly recommend the Moon Lence Ultralight cot for those who find its size and height comfortable. It's sturdy, lightweight, and provides a good night’s sleep without being in contact with the ground. It’s everything a backpacking cot should be.

Whether you’re planning your next big adventure, or you need extra sleep space while traveling, we hope our Moon Lence cot review has answered all your questions!
